There
are a number of different fish that are found in Argentina.

Dorado
Known as "the river tiger", the dorado (Salminus
Maxillosus), is the most exciting native fish in South
America. It can be found in a good number of the country is
rivers but the best specimens can be caught in the Parana
River. The brave Dorado is a great challenge to any
experienced fisherman and only surrenders after a long fight
for its life. The normal weight is 20 to 35 pounds for 3.5
feet long specimens, but up to 56 pound dorados have been
caught. There are other important species that can be caught
such as the Manguruyu, the Suribi, Pacu and Boga.
Salmon
Salmon were brought from different parts of the world and it
was found that Argentina has excellent conditions for
acclimatization, especially in the Lake District in the
Southwest of the country. They are now famous world-wide for
their size and variety. The Southwest is not the only place to
find them There are also bouts in the North, West and Center
of Argentina
Trout
Rainbow trout (Salmo Galrdnerli), brown trout (micorcopterus
Salmonldes), and brook trout (Saivellnus Fon Tanalis) are plentiful
in Argentina.
