 Come to Argentina

Peninsula Valdes is marked by its vibrant coastline; a stunning array of tall cliffs and rocky reefs. Considered one of the most valuable wildlife areas in the world, Peninsula Valdes is home of the most exotic marine mammals. This region is known as Atlantic Patagonia.

The San Jose and Nuevo Gulfs lie to the North and South of the Peninsula. Every year animals return to these calm, protected waters to mate and raise their young. Large colonies of penguins, sea lions and elephant seals inhabit miles of coastal beaches, while huge whales harbor in the gulfs.

Punta Delgada is the southern eastern most area of the peninsula. The Punta Delgada beach provides excellent viewing of elephant seals. In addition, numerous wildlife can be seen in the area, especially during the months of October and November.

On your trip to Peninsula Valdes it is also recommended that you visit the huge continental penguin colony:

Peninsula Valdes is easily reached from the lively town of Puerto Madryn that has a nice beach.
